Good to Know
1.
Is the Japanese entity already established?
The establishment of our Japanese entity is currently underway, with the entity expected to be established between September and the end of Q4 2026.
2.
How will the Japan team grow?
We plan to gradually expand our Japan business, starting with a Sales-focused team. We initially expect to build a team of approximately 3–5 Sales members, with plans to expand the organization as the business grows and our coverage across Japan increases.
3.
How will the Japan team work with the Korea Headquarters?
Initially, you will work closely with the Global Sales team at our Korea HQ to develop the Japan market. The Korea HQ will support local Sales activities, and our Global Sales Team Leader is able to communicate in Japanese, enabling smooth communication and collaboration. This role will not operate independently from the Korea HQ. Instead, you will work closely with our Sales and other relevant teams in Korea to build and grow our business in Japan together.
4.
Do I need to be based in Tokyo?
No. Although our Japanese entity is planned to be established near Tokyo Station, this position does not require you to be based in Tokyo. As the role involves developing customers and driving Sales activities across Japan, we are flexible about your location as long as you can effectively carry out Sales activities in the Japanese market.
5.
What kind of Sales experience are we looking for?
We value candidates with hands-on experience in the Japanese healthcare and medical device market. In particular, we look for experience in the full Sales process — from identifying and developing customers at Japanese hospitals, to proposing solutions and successfully driving purchases and implementation. An understanding of the purchasing process and decision-making structure of Japanese medical institutions will be especially valuable in establishing and growing our business in Japan.
6.
How important is English, and what language will the interview be conducted in?
English proficiency is not a primary requirement for this role. Candidates who can communicate with the Korea HQ by email and handle basic business communication in English will be considered. Hands-on Sales experience in the Japanese medical device market and strong customer-facing skills are more important than English fluency. Interviews can be conducted in English or Japanese, depending on the candidate's preference and communication needs.
